Mini-TI (Accelerate) Project.
INFOCEM implemented Mini -TI for MSM community in Rajannasircilla district under ACCELERATE Project non-financial MoU with YRG Care supported by PEFPAR grant through the USAID. INFOCEM proposes the Mini-TI (Accelerate) Project to strengthen service delivery, increase outreach and HIV/AIDS, STI Prevention and Treatment, Identify the Index, Strengthen Linkages, Refferals and ensure sustained community engagement in high-risk zones.
Objectives:
Increase HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention: Conduct outreach programs to educate MSM and transgender individuals on HIV/AIDS, STI prevention, and treatment services.
Enhance Access to Healthcare Services: Strengthen linkages with government and private healthcare facilities to ensure free and confidential HIV testing, STI treatment, and ART referrals.
Promote Social and Legal Entitlements: Facilitate access to social welfare schemes, ID documentation (TG Cards, Aadhaar, PAN), and legal literacy on the Transgender Persons Act and HIV/AIDS Act.
Strengthen Community Mobilization: Establish a Drop-in Center (DIC) as a safe space for counseling, networking, and rights-based advocacy.
Key Activities:
Community Outreach & Peer Education: Deploy trained Peer Educators to conduct one-on-one and group awareness sessions.
Distribute IEC materials and condoms/lubricants at hotspots.
Health and Wellness Camps:
Organize monthly health camps in collaboration with government PHCs.
Ensure access to HIV testing, STI screening, and mental health support.
Social and Legal Support Services:
Conduct legal literacy sessions on transgender rights and HIV laws.
Establishment of Drop-in Center (DIC):
Set up a safe space for the community to access health services, counseling, and advocacy support.
Expected Outcomes:
Increased awareness and uptake of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services.
Improved access to healthcare and social welfare schemes for the community.
Enhanced financial stability through skill development and MSME initiatives.
Strengthened community networks and mobilization for policy advocacy.
Monitoring & Evaluation:
Monthly Progress Reports: Regular tracking of outreach, testing, and service uptake.
Impact Assessments: Annual surveys to measure improvements in health, economic, and social indicators.
Stakeholder Engagement Meetings: Quarterly reviews with government bodies and community representatives.
